What Makes MUSCLE INSIDER Different from the Rest?

In 1991, I began pursuing a future as a competitive bodybuilder. Despite bad genetics, I was able to gain a respectable amount of muscle through hard work and the application of science. It seemed like the more I learned, the more muscle I packed on. I read every bodybuilding magazine and book I could get my hands on.

When the magazines told me to take protein powder, I loaded up on protein powder. When they told me the pros built their biceps by doing supersets, damn it, I did supersets. I was so brainwashed that I honestly believed the top pros built their physiques on the workouts shown in the magazines and the supplements they allegedly took! Of course, I had no idea about the use of steroids in bodybuilding and sport at the time. I always wondered what bigger guys were doing that I wasn’t doing. That all changed when a fellow competitor congratulated me backstage on my “thanks for coming out” poor placing. We got talking, and that was when I found out the reality behind “unnatural” bodybuilding. I discovered the rampant drug use by bodybuilders, and how these people really eat and train. I was shocked and heartbroken to learn that the heroes I grew up idolizing were all using steroids. Everything I knew about the sport was dead wrong. I got mad and swore that one day, I would make it my mission to let others know the real facts about bodybuilding.

I don’t have an issue with people using steroids, I’ve used them in the past myself. I have a problem with not being honest about their use and misleading others into thinking they can achieve the same results without them.

The MUSCLE INSIDER Movement
When we started MUSCLE INSIDER seven years ago in our first issue, we stated that our goal was “to educate the bodybuilding community on all aspects of the sport, without prejudice, judgement, or censorship so that you, as athletes, can compete to your maximum potential, effectively and safely.”

No lies, no censorship, no 10-day quick fixes, just truthful information from the most respected experts, and athletes in the industry. We just tell it like it is—what works, what doesn’t, what’s a complete waste of your money—and we back it up with science!

MUSCLE INSIDER is more than just a magazine and web community. It’s an uncensored movement to educate athletes on all aspects of performance without censorship or judgment. We are here to arm athletes with the science they need to build muscle, increase strength, enhance fat loss, and improve health.

We Don’t Use Sex to Sell
Don’t expect us to have a sexy swimsuit section or to come out with a “hot and fit” issue like other magazines do. We all know sex sells, but we’re focused on producing a serious fitness magazine you can learn from. If you want a sexy swimsuit magazine, go buy Playboy!

Thanks to Our Sponsors
We handpick our advertisers to ensure we’re dealing with respectable companies with effective products. We would never accept ads for products we wouldn’t use ourselves. To our loyal readers, remember every time you buy a product advertised in MUSCLE INSIDER, you’re helping to keep our magazine and web community growing strong.
