Job Title:  Field Sales Service Representative FLSA: Exempt   

Department: Sales

Reporting Supervisor: Director of Sales, Canada

Location:  Western Canada

General Summary:

Glanbia Performance Nutrition, a leader in sports nutrition, is a full line manufacturer of protein supplements, ready-to-drink beverages, and performance enhancement products. Brands include ON, ABB and BSN.  We are looking for highly talented individuals to help build our dominance in the sports nutrition market and to take our business into new channels and new markets.

Essential Functions:
• Work with our distributors and key account partners to grow sales of all brands.
• Interact directly with our distributors to drive day-to-day sales and train them on our products.
• Assist with key account sales calls and programming.
• Manage day-to-day activity within a given geographic area, point of sale, equipment, and sales information.
• Drive sales in existing accounts, educate the customer and impact the point of sale decision.
➢ Achieve or exceed targeted sales growth
➢ Possess a good understanding of the industry and the competitive landscape

• Visit key and independent accounts to:
➢ Ensure product is merchandised properly displayed
➢ Ensure point of sale is up and in a position where the consumer will see.
➢ Develop relationships at retailers on behalf of ON, ABB and BSN
➢ Assist retailers with any issues or concerns with our brands.
• Grass roots marketing up and down the street.
• Open new accounts to grow sales volume and distribution within the market.
• Utilize the sponsored athletes to further develop the business and brands.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to work with multiple retailers
• Team player and “outside of the box” thinker.
• Willing to facilitate travel to meet the needs of the territory.
• Ability to work some weekends.
• Self motivated, outgoing and have successful time management skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Education/Experience:
• Minimum 3 years sales/management/business experience
• Bachelor degree or commensurate sales and/or management experience
• Sport Nutrition, Health or other sport industry experience a plus.

Travel Requirements:
• Travel to meet the needs of the territory assigned.
• Travel to support other sales functions across the country when needed.
