For the first time ever, a National Championships will take place in New Brunswick.  The IFBB International Events Qualifier will be held in Moncton, NB on June 25th, 2016.  Promoters Heather & Jean LeBlanc are steadily finalizing preparations for their second event this calendar year.

In less than 3 weeks, New Brunswick Promoters will host the 2016 CBBF Canadian Natural Championships (better known as the International Events Qualifier or World Qualifier).  Taking place at Moncton’s Vegas style glamorous venue, the Casino New Brunswick Molson Canadian Centre, it will definitely be an event you don’t want to miss.  Held annually, the Canadian Bodybuilding Federation (CBBF), Executive Committee, had approached the LeBlanc’s in late November to take on the promotion and planning of this world renowned event.

What makes this event truly unique is the “natural” caliber of athlete’s who will be competing “drug-free” and drug testing will be administered as per the CBBF anti-doping policy (following WADA POLICY) to various competitors during the actual event.  The International Event Qualifier will also provide a qualification to Canadian athletes competing in June with the opportunity to go to the IFBB World Championships.  Getting to that level is by far one of the highest levels of achievement in the sport of bodybuilding and fitness.  If given the opportunity to compete at this level, the national winners will undergo further drug testing, in order to compete against the best athletes in the world.  The highest accolade and reward would be to become an IFBB Pro athlete.

To date, the CBBF have received over 200 entries and they expect that number to rise over the next few days.  These National Championships will showcase some of the best athlete’s competing in Bodybuilding, Classic Bodybuilding, Women’s Physique, Men’s Physique, Couples Bodybuilding, Men’s Physique, Fitness, Body Fitness (Figure) and Bikini.  Each division will also offer various age specific classes such as; Juniors (18-21 years of age) and Masters (35+, 40+, 45+, 50+ and 60+ years of age).  You can expect to see over 35 competitors competing just from New Brunswick alone.  All provinces in Canada will be well represented and when all is said and done, you can expect to see at least 250 athletes competing at this upcoming event.  As an added bonus, Emcee Tony Smith XL96 will be the Guest MC and will keep the audience entertained all evening long.  This will no doubt be an exciting and heart pounding event.

Joining forces with the CBBF and the LeBlanc’s will be Main Sponsors Adam Hambrook (Sculpt Miramichi/Team Hambrook), Jason Capson and Ryan Reynolds for (Chiseled Contest Prep), as well as, official Spray Tanner Darren McKeigan with Elite Sport Tan.  There are over 30 Sponsors taking part in this event including various booth sponsors showcasing a Mini Expo throughout the day and night specializing in mostly Fitness Apparel and Supplements.
With an almost sold out event held in April 2016 for the Atlantic Classic Championships, you can expect the same production as seen in past shows with an exciting opening montage dedicated to the IEQ event.  The LeBlanc’s will once again bring back the bright lights in the big City of Moncton. The Promoters are thankful to be involved in the industry working with extraordinary people.

President NBPFA and Promoter Heather LeBlanc remarks; “It’s an honor and privilege to be involved in promoting such a prestige event like the IFBB International Events Qualifier and we’re confident in our abilities to pull this off and very thankful to the people involved who gave us the push we needed to succeed such as; the support of our CBBF Executive, our colleagues, our sponsors, the athletes and of course, the audience participation.”

Promoter Jean LeBlanc explains; “I was a little hesitant in the beginning promoting two show events back to back, however, I realized that recurrent events like these will help us grow as promoters and find new and improved ways of making our shows bigger and better.  We are very grateful to President Georgina Dunnington in having the opportunity to promote a National Event.  I will say this; it might be our first but it won’t be our last.”

The promoters are excited for families and fans living abroad, as they will have an opportunity to watch their loved ones compete live.  The event will be web streamed (free of charge) for family, friends and fans across the country.  Please go to:  http://tv1.ca/csh2qeq for live coverage of both the Pre-judging and Evening Finals.

Prejudging will commence at 9:00 am Atlantic standard time, with tickets being sold at the door for $25 each.  At night, the doors will open for the evening show finals at 5:15 pm and the show will begin at 6:00 pm.  Tickets are readily available on line at www.casinonb.ca; Gold Tickets $55, Premium Tickets $45 and Regular Tickets $40 where you have the opportunity to choose your own seats.  For more details about the show, please visit www.cbbf.ca .  Please get out there and support your local athletes and fitness industry.  For specific questions or inquiries, send us an email at figure@heatherleblanc.ca .
