Aria Adamy earned her pro card at Masters Nationals in July of 2016. She's stunning, bright, accomplished, and has come a lot way in terms of where she started with her body in this industry. Layne Norton interviewed her about her past battled with a devastating eating disorder, where she's holding currently, and what her plans are for the future. She's currently 35 years old, and started competing back in 2012.

More than 500,000 Canadians struggle with eating disorders. Scarier yet, they have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness at 18 to 20 per cent. Ten percent of individuals with anorexia nervosa will die within 10 years of the onset of the disorder. Those statistics are even higher for the United States. Battling a mental illness is one of the hardest things someone will ever have to go through and overcoming it is life-changing, literally. Listen to Aria tell her story of battle and triumph. It takes an exceptional amount of courage to be honest and open about an eating disorder, especially at the IFBB Pro level in the fitness industry.
