In what was probably the most anticipated news release done to date by any supplement company, MUTANT made sure to have us all eager and wanting to know what they were up to.  With about a week or so of must follow posts and stay tuned for the big reveal, MUTANT teased that they were signing on another mass monster to their team and it would be revealed live on the Lab Report today Monday December 9 2013.  With the odd picture showing back profile images of this unknown, MUTANT fans and followers had attempted to figure out who it would be.

MUTANT is known for their "leave humanity behind" slogan where they promise to turn the hard core gym goer/athlete/competitor into a freak of mutated muscle:
"Their plan was simple – to modify your regular workout into absolute iron-crushing chaos that forces your muscle and strength into the freak zone! No “curls for the girls” or “coreball crunches” in the MUTANT lab – nope, MUTANT is for those who want massive size and strength, period."

Based on all of this and what MUTANT stands for, it was anyone's guess of who the newest MUTANT could be.  All one knew was that whoever it was, they had to live up to the MUTANT name and look.

At 1:00pm MUTANT made their reveal...IFBB Pro Johnnie Jackson.

Johnnie Jackson, born January 1971 in Hammonton, New Jersey is not only an IFBB Pro bodybuilder, but a powerlifter as well. Jackson has on occasion been called the World's Strongest Bodybuilder.  Johnnie first competed in an NPC show in 2001, where he won the NPC USA. A year later, Johnnie competed in his first IFBB competition which was the GNC Show of Strength of 2002, where he came in 10th.  The following year (2003) Johnnie competed in his first Mr. Olympia, where he placed 11th. For Johnnie, bodybuilding is not the only stage he competes on.  He will regularly compete in powerlifting events and incorporates the powerlifting method of training into his workouts.  It has been said that at times, Johnnie can be seen at the gym with training partner and fellow IFBB Pro Branch Warren.

In 2009, IFBB Pro Johnnie Jackson earned the title "Mr. Olympia 2009 World's Strongest Professional Bodybuilder" by benching 523lbs in an old polyester blast bench shirt and deadlifting 815lbs in a champions deadlift suit for a 1,338lbs push/pull.  Johnnie Jackson competed in the Raw Unity Deadlift Competition on January 22, 2012. He deadlifted 832lbs raw on the third attempt for his all-time personal best at age 40 as a master class lifter.

Known for his MUTANT back size and strength, it seems quite fitting that IFBB Pro Johnnie Jackson was selected as the next  SUPERMUTANT.
