Myriam Capes Getting Back to Training

It's been almost 3 weeks since IFBB Fitness Pro Myriam (Mimi) Capes dislocated her shoulder while training for the Olympia and Arnold Europe/Asia.

Here is Mimi's original post where she talks about not being able to do the Olympia:

About 10 days ago I've got severely injured while pratising my new performance for the 2016 OLYMPIA. I dislocated my right shoulder while doing a front flip :(

Since then, I've been on intense treatments to recover as fast as possible and be ready for the O and Arnold's Europe in only 4 and 5 weeks now.

Unfortunately, my body doesn't seem to heal as fast as I would like. It's with my heart broken, lots of pain, sadness and frustration, that I need to face the reality that I cannot make it happen this year. I need to listen to my body and give it the time to heal proprely before I get back into a full mode preparation and step back onstage hopefully in early 2017 for the Fitness international.

Fitness is from far the hardest division and I don't think that people realize how much we need to push our body over the limits sometimes and how many struggles we ALL deal with some major injuries and constant pain. All my fitness sisters can related to this I'm sure, being there before and still today facing that sad reality.

I would love to thanks the IFBB, the Olympia's promotor Robin Chang and Arnold's Europe Bob Lorimer and Dr.Rafael Santonja for their understanding and concern as well as all my people back home who are taking good care of me and giving me their support. I will take time to rest and take care of my injury. I will keep you updated on my recovery and hopefully will get back stronger for 2017 season.

She just announced on Facebook that she's back to training for the first time since the injury, and feels optimistic. She's taking things one day at a time, and believes that slowly but surely, she'll be ready for the 2017 season. We have complete faith in her!
