Legendary bodybuilding Journalist Peter McGough has left Muscular Development (MD) to go back to his home at FLEX magazine! This is huge news in the bodybuilding media and one you’ll be reading more on as more media sources pick up this story. Flex magazine is owned by AMI/Weider which is the largest bodybuilding publishing company in the world. Bodybuilding fans will remember that many years ago Peter was the cornerstone of FLEX magazine’s editorial team. Peter joined Weider Publications in 1992 as FLEX Magazine’s Senior Writer. In 1997, he was appointed Editor-in-Chief of FLEX. But one day left to join their competitor Muscular Development. After spending many years with MD, Peter has now decided to go back to FLEX purely as a writer which we are very happy to see. In 2016, Peter received a Lifetime Achievement Award for his 30+ years in bodybuilding journalism but his reputation goes far above and beyond awards. Peter is unquestionably the top journalist in the industry and Flex readers will now have access to his unforgettable writing.  Here's a farewell note from Peter:

"THANK YOU MD
I am leaving MD and taking up a purely writing position with FLEX magazine. I’d like to thank Steve Blechman for the opportunity of working for MD for the past five years. He gave me the chance to return to my first love, writing, which in the previous 12 years or so I hadn’t done an awful lot of due to executive duties. In five years I have written nearly 450 MD stories in print and online. I’d like to thank the team at MD HQ, particularly Alan Dittrich and AlanGolnick for their help and support and also thank the online stalwarts Ron Harris, Shawn Ray, Chris Hobrecker and Nate Childers. It’s been a blast. I really enjoyed the MD forum and all the interactions with members. I learnt a lot from you guys and you taught me to look at many aspects of bodybuilding differently. I learnt it’s never too late to learn. Finally thank you Steve Blechman for the last five years and I wish MD and its followers all the best in the years to come."
