The bodybuilding and fitness world was hit with some shocking and devasating news this weekend: Former Women’s IFBB Pro Jackie Paisley has passed away.

Jackie was well respected and exceptionally loved in the industry, and an outpouring of condolences have been flooding popular forums and social media platforms all over the web.

Jackie has had to battle life and serious demons on and off stage. In a article published by Ironmanmagazine.com, it was reported that Paisley suffered from life threatening complications because of Silicone Toxicity, she had to have some major operations to remove the threat. "After retiring from competition, despite maintaining a fitness lifestyle and career as a personal trainer, I started experiencing fatigue and head pain, and was subsequently diagosed with "Silicone Toxicity" due to implant leakage....I learned I only had months to live," said Paisley. "But, after undergoing two surgeries, including a seven-hour procedure to remove adhesions and eight lymph nodes (February, 2011), I'm getting close to full recovery."

We would like to send our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Jackie Paisley. May she rest in peace.

From Jackie's Facebook fan page:

Little did I know...what I wrote could very well be part of her eulogy. I loved her spirit. I will miss her terribly.
