Can heavy steroid abuse cause permanent infertility?

In this episode of Ask the Doc, a 32 year old former competitive powerlifter (who used anabolic androgenic steroids), wants to know if his Testosterone will return to normal levels. He's been off gear for a while now, and gets blood work regularly, but is still concerned about his health, and wants to know if his use of AAS caused permanent infertility.
