2023 Texas Pro Predictions

The 2023 Texas Pro will be held on the weekend of Aug. 18-19 in Arlington, Texas. This is one of the more popular shows among athletes and fans, and 2023 is looking to be a big one. Eight divisions will be featured with the Men’s Open as the main event. That division will feature an Olympia-sized matchup, so let’s get right into the predictions.

Men’s Open

  • Lewis Breed
  • Lionardis Cardoza
  • Roy Evans
  • Jameil Hamilton
  • Jordan Hutchinson
  • Hunter Labrada
  • Chinedu Andrew Obiekea (Andrew Jacked)
  • Derrick Olara
  • Soohyun Park
  • Martae Ruelas
  • Carlos Thomas Jr.
  • Jonathan Withers

Andrew Jacked is the defending champion of this show, but Hunter Labrada is a Texas native and wants to win on his home turf. Add on top of that the debut of Carlos Thomas Jr., and you have a big show that will captivate the fans. Labrada looked incredible at the Tampa Pro, but this will be our first competitive look at Jacked this season. It will be a close contest, but we see Jacked taking the W and Olympia qualification.

  1. Andrew Jacked
  2. Hunter Labrada
  3. Carlos Thomas Jr.

212

  • Noel Adame
  • Jae Sang Choi
  • John Crisp
  • Charles Curtis
  • Leland DeVaughn Jr.
  • Justin Jacoby
  • Jason Joseph
  • Shuqing Lin
  • John McGovern
  • Bridger Paulich
  • Keone Pearson
  • Santos Rodriguez
  • Francisco Barrios Vik
  • Jay Warren
  • Braden Wuerch
  • Adnan Yousaf

The fans have been awaiting the return of Keone Pearson, and they will finally get their wish this weekend. Pearson has looked phenomenal on social media, but the trip to Orlando must be earned on stage. We don’t see anyone getting in his way of taking the victory, but Noel Adame will make it an interesting competition. Also, watch for the pro debut of Justin Jacoby, who has a bright future in the sport.

  1. Keone Pearson
  2. Noel Adame
  3. Justin Jacoby

Classic Physique

  • Todd Akers
  • Osmar Alanis
  • Addison Alexander
  • Aaron Aramini
  • Anthony Barbera III
  • Adam Beveridge
  • Terrence Bonds
  • Harold Bright Jr.
  • Eddie Chipp
  • Carlos S. Marchand Colón
  • Bernardo Costa
  • Tony Duong
  • Dino Estrada
  • Logan Franklin
  • Lucas Giainni
  • Sulaman Kamara
  • Timothy Kilow
  • Ashwin Lucas
  • Eslam Mohamed
  • Marof Montanary
  • Jordan Moore
  • Youri Kasonga Mukuna
  • Jae Hun Park
  • Kyle Puckett
  • Jorge Abraham Trejo Reyes
  • Robert Timms
  • Robert Waterhouse
  • Cameron D. Williams
  • Casey Wilson
  • William Withers
  • Benjamin Zimmerman

In our eyes, the Classic Physique contest will come down to two men – Logan Franklin and Robert Timms. Franklin has that symmetry and presentation that fits the division perfectly, Timms has incredible muscularity and poses with intensity. We won’t be surprised if Timms wins, but our vote will be with Franklin, who is competing in his home state. Robert Waterhouse is a good bet for a top three finish.

  1. Logan Franklin
  2. Robert Timms
  3. Roberts Waterhouse

Men’s Physique

  • Ommie Ali
  • Jake Alvarez
  • Nicolas Belanger
  • Dre Booker
  • Stephen Brooks
  • Andrew J. David
  • Joshua Guidry
  • Jorge H. Hernandez
  • Alonzo Jefferson
  • Nick Koeu
  • Dylan Lin
  • Paul Mateoc
  • Michael Mayers
  • Jeremiah Maxey
  • Clarence McSpadden Jr.
  • Michael D. Mperey
  • John Murphy
  • Ali Raza
  • Jemiase (Jay) Riggins
  • Francisco Rodriguez
  • Alexander Rogers
  • Avery Saunders
  • George Sellman
  • Leon Lloyd Spence
  • Mitch Starr
  • Jacob Swisher
  • Micah Thomas Jr.
  • Tristan Van der Bijl
  • Roy Williams III

The Men’s Physique lineup is one of the biggest in the show, and there’s no solid favorite in this group. Nick Koeu has come close to winning two shows recently, and we think the third time will be the charm, but it would not be a surprise if someone like Ommie Ali or Michael D. Mperey leaves as champion. The only thing about these shows in Men’s Physique is that nothing is for sure.

  1. Nick Koeu
  2. Michael D. Mperey
  3. Ommie Ali

Women’s Physique

  • Tracey Allen
  • Rachel Aronson
  • Ceci Barba
  • Sara Bradley
  • Lenka Ferencukova
  • Isabelle Jackson
  • Adriana Johnson
  • Donna Jones
  • Alyssa Kiessling
  • Veronica LaRoche-Askew
  • Kristyn Lia
  • Jourdain Lincycomb
  • Alexis Lowery
  • Katie Nyland
  • Brooke Pighin
  • Christine Porter
  • Ivie Rhein
  • Miranda Sanders
  • Vicky Tackett
  • Katharine Younger

The winner of the Women’s Physique show will be the 15th woman to qualify for the Olympia in that division. The early favorite would be Ivie Rhein, who was second at the Tampa Pro. Isabelle Jackson was seventh in Tampa, but she was fourth the Lenda Murray Atlanta Pro earlier this year. Kristyn Lia was third in that same contest, and a top three finish for her is certainly possible here as well.

  1. Ivie Rhein
  2. Kristyn Lia
  3. Isabelle Jackson

Figure

  • Kamilla S. Alencastro
  • Tamera Barrett
  • Marcela Barros
  • Tonya Brookter
  • Denitra Bruer
  • Nachol Cravens
  • Alexis Davis
  • Jay Garay
  • Candace Richardson Hall
  • Ashley Howells
  • Samantha Jenkins
  • Amaranth Kim
  • Jackilyn Lowry
  • Amanda McCroskey
  • Jessica McWilliams
  • Spomenka Miller-Stanic
  • Amie Mock
  • Brittany Offers
  • Jessica Reyes Padilla
  • Lena Ramsteiner
  • Stephanie Santamaria
  • Amy Jo Summy
  • Mandy Urner
  • Kaylee Walker
  • Becca Wilcox
  • Amanda Winston

Jessica Reyes Padilla is competing in this show, and she's already qualified for the Olympia as last year’s runner-up. She is looking to keep other contenders like Lena Ramsteiner from moving on. If Padilla wins, no qualification will be awarded. Watch for Canadian Brittany Offers, who made her pro debut last year and is set to make her first appearance of 2023. We think she’s a future star, and that trajectory could begin at this show.

  1. Jessica Reyes Padilla
  2. Lena Ramsteiner
  3. Brittany Offers

Bikini

  • Wu Bi
  • Jeannie Dery-Belanger
  • Tamekia Carter
  • Jessica Dexter
  • Brenda Garay
  • Claudia Garcia
  • Violeta Garcia
  • Ashley Hampton
  • Lynsie Hice
  • Sammy Jo
  • Ashley Marie Lee
  • Jessica Lewis
  • Ashlyn Little
  • Emma MacDougall
  • Erin Mayrhofer
  • Carolina Mestre
  • Yvette Montero
  • Vanessa Guzman
  • Elisa Valentim Pecini
  • Yurika Shigemoto
  • Rachel Spanos
  • Fallon A. Wainwright
  • Flora Wang

Ashlyn Little has already qualified for the Olympia thanks to winning the Tampa Pro, but like Padilla in Figure, she wants to keep others from moving on to the big stage. Wu Bi surprised a lot of fans with her runner-up finish at the Tahoe Pro one week ago, and she could take the win here if she improves on her look between then and now. Tamekia Carter is also a contender that could disrupt the callouts. We see them as the top three this weekend.

  1. Ashlyn Little
  2. Tamekia Carter
  3. Wu Bi

Wellness

  • Jessica Alvarado
  • Marissa Andrews
  • Devyn Cambre
  • Diana Verduzco Carreno
  • Quintaysia Goodley
  • Amy Li
  • Jenna de Manincor
  • Mia Samuels-Menjivar
  • Maria Paulette
  • Victoria Puentes
  • Angela White
  • Tracy Williams
  • Halla Yu

None of the competitors in the Wellness show are qualified for the Olympia yet, but the lady that may change that is Marissa Andrews, who was third at the Pittsburgh Pro. Devyn Cambre is actually the defending champion, and she can certainly repeat, but we think Andrews will be the one announced as the winner. The third spot could go to anyone, but we will choose Amy Li, who was also third in the Chicago Pro.

  1. Marissa Andrews
  2. Devyn Cambre
  3. Amy Li
