Iovate Launches Conscious Kitchen
Iovate is the parent company that owns MuscleTech, Six Star, Purely Inspired, Hydroxycut and Xenadrine. In 2016, Iovate was bought by Xiwang Foodstuffs Co. which is a Chinese company that sells healthy oils such as corn oil and flaxseed oil. Ever since the acquisition, we’ve seen Iovate reduce the number of products in the MuscleTech range while adding some new ones, but they’ve also reduced or stopped their focus on the other supplement companies they also own (EPIQ, True Grit, StrongGirl, Mission1, and fuel:one).
Conscious Kitchen
On November 27th, 2018 a trademark was filed by one of Iovate’s companies for “Conscious Kitchen” but we never heard anything more on it. Almost a year later, a company logo for the brand circulated and now we’re seeing a website and product line for Iovate’s new Conscious Kitchen supplement line!
Conscious Kitchen - Vegan Protein Collagen Booster+
The product range includes a Vegan Protein with Collagen but unlike other collagen supplements, Conscious Kitchen uses a rare collagen derived from Wood Ear Mushrooms (try saying that one ten times in a row), delivering 10 grams of protein per serving with 3 grams of fat. The product comes in recyclable glass jars and all-natural flavors including Chocolate Chili and Vanilla Chai. Cost is $30 per jar for 9 servings.
Conscious Kitchen - Organic Hemp Protein + Adaptogen Complex
The second product in the range is a certified Organic Hemp Protein + Adaptogen Complex. As the front label tells us, this contains 10 grams of vegetarian protein sources from hemp protein, pumpkin protein and a blend of mushrooms. Fat tops out at 6 grams in the Vanilla Bean flavor but Aztec Chocolate has 7 grams with zero grams of added sugar. It also contains Sensoril®, organic Reishi, Chaga, and Cordyceps which act as adaptogens.
Conscious Kitchen - Smart Fat Energy Bombs
The third product is a fat bomb made from a blend of MCT Oil powder and mushrooms, which sounds disgusting but Iovate would not launch a product that didn’t taste good so we’re betting this one will taste better than it sounds! Smart Fat Energy Bombs also contains Sensoril® Ashwagandha, Cordyceps and Reishi. Each bag contains 24 “bombs” which weigh 8 grams each and deliver 5 grams of fat and 2 grams of carbs We haven’t tried this product or any Conscious Kitchen product but hopefully the folks at Iovate will hook us up!
