ANS PERFORMANCE RAVE Review
TURNT UP WITH RAVE
If you’ve ever been to a rave, then you know it’s much more about the perceptual, psychedelic atmosphere and mental experience than it is about the physical. That’s not to say your body doesn’t experience a rave’s environment, but it hits your mind first. So too with ANS Performance’s new extreme energy nootropic, RAVE.
RAVE Under the Microscope
What is an “Extreme Energy Nootropic” and how does RAVE fit the criteria? Remember Bradley Cooper in Limitless after he took NZT? RAVE is like that, but more realistic, and without Robert De Niro or that Russian guy trying to kill you. We’ve all heard the old axiom that we only use 10% of our brain’s true capacity. While that number isn’t scientifically accurate, it is true that in the age of so much “noise pollution” and social media demands on our attention, we could definitely use a supplement that helps us home in mentally on tasks and focus our attention on one thing at a time. Enter nootropics. And enter RAVE. Nootropics are a class of drugs used to enhance memory or other cognitive functions. Although pills such as Adderall and Ritalin count as nootropics, we were thinking more along the lines of some naturally occurring ones, such as the ones used in RAVE.
Two main ingredient blends make RAVE potent: the “Nootropic Focal Complex” and the “Mental Energy System.” Each category is broken down into its different components and how much of each ingredient there is—transparent labeling for the win! RAVE uses the amino acids L-carnitine and N-acetyl-L-tyrosine to help with stress management and the production of neurotransmitters such as dopamine, norepinephrine, and noradrenaline.
Also under the Nootropic Focal Complex banner, you’ll find “MagicLion,” a specialized extract of Hericium erinaceus, also commonly known as lion’s mane. How common can it be if you’ve never heard of it until RAVE? Well, the chemical makeup of lion’s mane is unique. There has been a lot of therapeutic research focused on the immune-boosting properties of mushrooms, but lion’s mane has the unique ability to enhance cognitive function and actually act as a “neurogenic”—that is, it promotes the maintenance and regeneration of nerve cells. It also contains compounds that are considered to be responsible for the neuro-regenerative effects of this species.
How to Take Rave
Just like at a real rave when someone offers you a substance, it’s all about assessing your tolerance. According to the label on the bottle, RAVE comes in two doses: Moderate (one scoop) and Extreme (two scoops). It doesn’t take a scientist or pharmacist to figure out that “Extreme” has twice as much of all the RAVE ingredients, so make sure you know what you’re doing—and that you’re ready for a good time if you decide to RAVE “Extreme.” Also, each scoop is only 3.5 grams, which only speaks to the efficacy of the product. When was the last time 3.5 grams of something did anything for you? Just wait till RAVE hits your taste buds.
Final Thoughts on Rave
It’s like a party in my mouth, and everyone’s invited! But really. I was nervous and skeptical at first because I’m a meathead, so I didn’t know if I liked the idea of taking RAVE to give me tunnel-vision focus and laser-like concentration. I’ve never taken a nootropic or something with “mushroom” or “magicLION” in the ingredients. Honestly, I wish this had come out sooner. RAVE gives you the high of a pre-workout, but without the crash of taking too many stimulants, the jitters and tingling of beta-alanine, and artificial colours or dyes. You can feel your brain activity elevate and muscle fibres activate simultaneously. RAVE is intense. There are 60 servings per bottle, and the flavour options are Fruit Fusion, Blue Raspberry, Pink Lemonade, and Pineapple Mango.
