If I was to ask you about IFBB Pro bodybuilder Robert Wilmote, you may not be sure who I was talking about. However, you’ve likely heard of “NDO Champ.” For those that don’t know, the NDO stands for No Days Off, and there’s a lot more people that are about to be aware of him if things go his way this coming weekend.

Wilmote is about to step into another sport when he gets into the ring for Celebrity Boxing against a man that you’re more likely to have heard of, Roy Jones Jr. The fight is set to take place on Friday, June 30th in Miami, Florida. To the best of our knowledge, Wilmote has never fought professionally, while Jones is considered by many boxing aficionados to be one of the most skilled fighters of all time. The fight has certainly created a lot of buzz over the past week leading up to the fight because even Shaquille O’Neal has been talking about, as you can see in the Instagram post below.

The fight is being promoted by Celebrity Boxing and the overall event is called “Clash in the Metaverse, Fight Night.” The opponents have already gone face-to-face once and will do so again when they go to the official weigh-in event for the fight on Thursday, June 29th. Wilmote may not have the experience that Jones does, but he isn’t short on confidence going into this event.

“I am putting the legend to sleep!! Everyone pull up and witness Greatness!!”

Jones is 54 years old, and he’s clearly no longer the athlete that he was when he was dominating the sport and headlining numerous pay-per-view events. He has been a world champion in four different weight classes as a professional – middleweight, super-middleweight, light-heavyweight, and heavyweight. In 76 professional fights, he won 66 and lost 10. 47 of those 66 wins came by knockout. He and Jack Johnson have both boxed professionally for 33 years, which is the longest of all time.

Some celebrity boxing events or exhibitions call for the opponents to wear head gear, but Wilmote had shared on multiple social media posts that he and Jones will not wear any head protection at all. If you want to see how the fight goes down for yourself, you can order the pay-per-view by going to Fite TV. Who do you think will win between the bodybuilder and the boxer?
