At 2016 USAPL Raw Nationals on Oct 16, 2016, Ray Williams set the all time raw squat record and BURIED 1005 lbs!
Ray Williams pulled off the first-ever 1,000-plus-pound raw squat lift in history, putting up 456 kilograms (exactly 1,005.3 pounds) at the USA Powerlifting Raw Nationals in Atlanta, Georgia.
Marcus Haley, AKA Haley's Comet, is returning to competition after a small hiatus from the sport; and this time, he's coming back to do some damage in the 212 division!

When he was 11 months old, Wade McCrae Washington was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. He also has severe scoliosis and was told by doctors that he wouldn't live past 10 years old. But Washington was determined to overcome these challenges, and he took up weightlifting. He's now 45, and recently received his professional card for bodybuilding. He has no intention of slowing down.

"Facing Schwarzenegger" premiered on National Geographic according to most people who saw it, it was incredible. The documentary included interviews with people who met Arnold through bodybuilding (Ric Drasin, Lou Ferrigno), his movie career (stunt man Peter Kent, Carl Weathers, Rae Dawn Chong), and other avenues.
The Rock announced at the 2016 Mr. Olympia that the 2017 Mr. Olympia will come back to television! After over 30 years, it's actually happening, and the Mr. Olympia competition will finally be back on TV in homes across the world, and hosted by CBS. There won't be any more streaming (unless CBS or someone also decides to stream it).
