In a recent interview, 10x Ms. Olympia winner Iris Kyle announced that she would be making a comeback! After taking the 2015 season off (which was understandable given that there was no women's bodybuilding at the Arnold or Olympia), Iris said she'd be back with a vengence in 2016!

In 2012, the prize money was $900,000 - Not too shabby, right? In 2013, it went up to a cool $950,000, thanks to increases in the 212 showdown and bikini divisions, in addition to the actual Men's bodybuilding winner getting more. Last year, we saw the biggest cash purse to date, which was 1.1 million dollars, divided up between the 8 categories.

This year, the 51st anniversary of the Sandow, the 2015 Olympia has outdone itself once again, as the total prize money for all divisions is $1.115 million dollars!

The 2015 NPC USAs, held this past weekend in Las Vegas, NV, was one of the largest to date! There were 800 competitors, and the fields in all of the categories were deep. In one particular category however, there was a favorite going in to the prestigious event. Cody Montgomery was the teen phenom that everyone's been talking about since he burst on to the scene in 2012 as the NPC Teen Nationals winner. He went on to win in the same event in 2013 and 2014 as well, opting not to go for his pro card in 2014 because he didn't feel he was ready for a pro qualifier.

Carnegie Stadium in Leeds, England proved to be an epic battleground this past weekend, as it played host to the 2015 World's Strongest Deadlift competition. There were two favourites leading up to the competition. The first was Englishman Eddie Hall. If the name is familiar to you, it's probably because he was the previous record holder for the deadlift, after pulling 1018lbs at the Arnold Classic Australia. Arnold himself was there to witness the insane event! Evidently, 1018 wasn't good enough for this beast - He had to break his own record.
